The Interfide-CRT project was presented in Cercemaggiore (Province of Campobasso, Molise, Italy) on 9 July 2021 through a press conference organised by Eurelations EEIG, partner in charge of communication.
The press conference was aimed at introducing the objectives and expected results of the project to the local stakeholders and community. It gathered project partners and associated partners, representatives of municipalities as well as associations for the promotion of cultural heritage. Nicola De Santis, Interfide project manager at EuRelations EEIG, underlined how the project will valorise intercultural dialogue among three different religious communities (muslim, catholic, orthodox) of the cooperation area and stressed Eurelations EEIG's commitment to establish an active dialogue with local stakeholders and engage them in the project.
Shoqata Kulturore (AL), coordinator of the initiative, presented the project’s objectives and consortium, while Eurelations EEIG illustrated the plan of activities for the forthcoming months, which will include the implemetation of two infterfaith pilot tours covering the most suggestive places of worship in Albania, Montenegro, Apulia and Molise.
The press conference was a good occasion to launch, together with the Pastoral Office of Leisure, Tourism, and Sport of the Italian Episcopal Conference (Molise Local Office), one of the main local stakeholders, a new initiative that will promote the revitalisation of “Cercemaggiore-Castelpetroso Water Route”, as part of the European Routes. A related event will be held next Autumn, co-organised by the Interfide-CRT project. With these additional activities the Interfide project role as a platform for transnational interfaith cooperation will be strenghten.
